Evaluated Pups & Started Dogs

Evaluated Pups:

Evaluated pups ranging from 3 months to 6 months of age are occasionally available for sale. These pups are evaluated for biddability, birdiness, desire to retrieve, pointing instinct, introduction to gunfire, and in some instances are already starting to hunt. The pricing schedule for evaluated pups is dependent on age and the pup's level of development at the time he/she is delivered to you. Please call or email for price and availability.

Started Dogs:

Started dogs ranging from 8 months to 18 months of age are usually available year round. The pricing schedule for started dogs is dependant on the dog's age, the degree of training and experience the dog has achieved, and any custom training requested by a client. Please call or email for prices and availability of started dogs.

Although not required, we strongly encourage all clients purchasing a started dog to travel to our training facility at the time your dog is ready for a hands-on transition session with the trainer. We will provide a video transition session if you are absolutely unable to pick up your dog in person.

Started dogs can be picked up at our facility (strongly recommended) or can be shipped to almost anywhere serviced by a major airline. We charge a $70.00 fee for the large plastic shipping crate and a $100.00 fee for the transportation of your dog from our facility to the airport. After an initial telephone consultation discussing your specific needs, a $500 non-refundable deposit will reserve your started dog until it is ready to ship. The balance of payment is due at the time your dog is delivered to you. You will be updated periodically while your dog is being developed and have ample opportunity to ask questions and discuss his/her progress with the trainer. If your dog is reserved early enough, you will have the opportunity to name your dog at the start of his/her training period. If you have reserved a pup or evaluated pup and decide at some point before he/she is shipped that you desire a started dog, we would be happy to develop him/her to the level you desire, provided we have sufficient time resources available in our training schedule.
